FUNGILLATION!  is a site-specific installation made of mysterious mycelium – usually a hidden part of the mushroom – that invites viewers to witness the invisible processes of nature.

The project presents communicative signals of mushrooms spread throughout the entire space as vibrations coming through the walls. Seeing, listening, and smelling, the spectators have a chance to enter into the unknown world of mushrooms and experience it from unexpected perspectives.

The installation is placed in the attic space of an abandoned house, thereby questioning the regenerative capabilities of the mycelium: does this “creature” destroy or repair the space around itself?

The project was created and exhibited inside the pop-up museum “House of New Realities” in Augsburg, Germany, from 22.07.2023 to 08.08.2023.
